A little about the RCC!

The Roppongi Cosplay Club was founded in March of 2008.  The group came together through another cosplay group and found similarities and likes common between themselves that they felt were not shared with the rest of their current group.  RCC had been given the pleasure of directing the Rapid City convention and decided that it would be best to split from their current group and focus their goals and enjoyments in a much more rounded fashion.    After a few disagreements with their previous cosplay group and a few agreements, they broke away from their old group to form their own.

The term Roppongi literally translates to 'six trees'.  Though the translation is a bit weak, its origin to the club relates to the Roppongi Club of the anime Speed Grapher.  The group watched and obsessed over the anime series and from there, everything sort of fell into place for what name they wanted to bestow upon their new establishment.  The RCC was formed and they are dedicating everything to cosplay and convention planning around their ever-busy lives! 

RCC in itself has a double group title.  It stands for both Roppongi Cosplay Club as well as states quite openly where the group came from.  Rapid City Cosplay is another name that the group answers to and sort of laughs about.  They are proud of where they are from and can't wait to get out there and start performing as a cosplay troupe!

    To say in the least, it's exciting to finally have the website up for SoDak Con and  to be frank, this is just the little section where you can learn about the RCC and see what the group is about.  We are a small group who have taken on the SoDak Con Anime Convention of Rapid City, SD and thought it would be nice to have a website for the Group for anyone interested in knowing about us.

This is the one place you will be able to learn who is planning what and what is going to be going down in the future when it comes to the group! In the future you'll be able to find a photo gallery of what the group has done and when, while now you can find out what the group is planning and for what.  For everyone and anyone, this is the RCC and we are ecstatic to be a part of the Rapid City Anime Community!
