Are we aware that it has been a bit since we've updated...?

Yes. The big-to-do about the delay in releasing the ability to pre-register, however, is that we are indeed working on getting organization status legally for all you cats out there. No longer will we be a mere group bringing people together but an actual organization by the end of this long stretch. Go us!

That announcement being said we are proud to list that we are going to open online pre-registration! Though we do not yet have a physical address applications can be sent to we are more than happy to announce that those of you with PayPal accounts will be able to get registered and sleep easier at night! Find more details on the pre-registration page!

As for the time frame on when we shall have pre-registration open to mail in applicants, just know we are working hard on getting this set up, open, and available so that you folks can do so! Please bear with us through this delay and look for more updates coming soon!

(June 9th 2008) - Almost Time!

It is almost time for you guys to break out your pens and pocket change in order to pre-register for SoDak Con 2009! Sometime this month we are planning to have the pre-registration mail in option available to everyone and anyone who is interested in doing so! There are still a few things that we have left to do on our end to finish setting up for it and as soon as that is done you'll all be the first to know about it!

Another lovely note! SoDak con has hooked up with Cosplay Locator for a lovely banner swap! Go ahead and check them out!

There has also been one minor change to the forum. Administration has to manually approve all new registering persons. We do check this daily and anyone who registers should receive an e-mail within 48 hours to confirm their registration. RCC staff and SoDak forum administration apologies for any irritations this may cause our new-registries on the forum, however, due to spam-bots we regrettably were left without any choice. Thank you for your understanding in this matter and please don't be discouraged to sign up!

(May 8th 2008) - Now at last!

Well isn't this great news! The site is finally launched and ready for your use. No more having to dig around the forums in order to get all the information you're looking for and praying that it's up! Hopefully this will be easier for you, as well as for us, when trying to navigate and figure out what is what and when and where. For those of you who still are unsure of what's going on for the Mini-Con of 09 let us once again state that it will be January 18th of 2009. We apologize once again for postponing the main convention until next year, however, we are planning a couple of mini-events for 2008. Due to the management change of the convention, there was a lot of heartache and delay in getting a date worked out. This issue shouldn't happen again at any future date, so that is always a plus!

Also- a note on the convention itself. It has been set to last for eight hours that day. This timeframe was selected for two primary reasons. One, to almost triple the run time of the event for activity purposes, and two, to judge the reception of a larger event in our city. If this mini-con does well, you can certainly expect SoDakCon 2010 to be even bigger and better!

In order to figure out about the mini-events, there is a page listed to the left that you can click on to find out about those. The dates aren't quite set for those yet. They will be smaller little gatherings that will be held in Canyon Lake Park of Rapid City, SD for the locals and anyone who wants to come in from the other cities around Rapid for a bit of fun, food, and the chance to register for the competitions or even pre-register for the convention!
