--03-06-09 : My my my! Look-y-Here!
We actually have done a lot
over the last month, or at least it seems like a lot to us.
Before we go into all the different changes to the pages, I
wanted to go ahead and post here that all of the online forms that don't
have to be printed off have been altered. All of the lines are
gone and things are spaced out so they are easier to fill out when
opened on your computer. They are all in Rich Text Format and
should be compatible for most any type of text document processor.
Volunteers :
We have opened up the volunteer page! We have a wide variety of
positions for anyone interested in helping out with SoDak, be it a
little or a lot! Please, don't be shy to send in the form, we
can't wait to hear from you and further develop SoDak! Remember!
SoDak does not exist, without you!
Fundraising : You'll notice this new little page as
well lurking off to the right. There currently are two different little
fundraising idea's we have floating about that you can vote on and let
us know what you'd like to participate in. These events are for
our locals near or in Rapid City unfortunately, however, for those of
you who would like to donate to SoDak, no matter how big or small the
amount, there is now also a donation button!
Pre-Registration : Is now open! Note, we do not
have a set date for the convention! However, we decided to open up
pre-registration for those of you out there who don't care when the date
is and just want to get in and pre-register so it's done and taken care
of so you don't forget!
T-Shirt Orders : Are now open! Go ahead
and check out the page at the top of this box! We are so delighted
to have a variety for you all this year and pleased to be able to
present it so early in the year to make sure everyone has a chance to
get the shirt they want. IF YOU PREMIUM PRE-REGISTER you get a
t-shirt. Don't fill out double forms unless you want more than
one. ^__^
SoDak Survey : We love getting in the surveys,
though we have only had a few. Please don't be afraid to send it
in, we're happy to have them and they will help us in convention
decisions in the future for prizes and games!
--02-01-09 : Just a couple things.
For starters you'll notice to the left a
quick look deadline box. Most everything is due December 1st
except for the on-site Art and Cosplay registration, as well as regular
convention registration of course. There has been more characters
added to the site. Incase you haven't noticed there are different
characters to the left depending on which page you're viewing.
Artists&Panels --->Programming has been updated with new art.
You will also noticed a SoDak Rules page added at the top of this lovely box, as well as a T-Shirt Order page. The Rules page is pretty much just your standard attending the convention rules, this does not mean don't read them. Please read through them some time before the meet in 2010, you do have eleven months to do this and it's a good way to help make sure you enjoy the festivities without consequence. ^__^
The T-Shirt order page will be officially released hopefully in March's Update. You will be able to order T-Shirts by (you guessed it) December 1st so we can have them ready and available for you at the con!
***And as always, we're asking to know what you think! Behold to the north there is a Sodak Survey link. The SS is a short survey that will help us determine what the majority and minority of our attendees enjoy so we can determine what prizes to look for, how to compose games, and all around what you may enjoy to see at SoDak!

Why look, our inside links have found their way back to us.
Thank you for everyone who may have witnessed their absence for
the past two days for being patient with us while we got them back in
line and up for your viewing. We have posted all of the
information we have so far for the 2010 convention.
To follow is a small (or as small as we could make it) detailed list as to what each of the new and updated pages contain. Before we get going on telling you what is to come we want to again note that WE WANT FEEDBACK! The good, the bad, the frustrating, the exciting. We want to hear it! Please visit the new SoDak Forum or e-mail us. We'd love to hear from you and make this con more of what you're looking/hoping for!
Registration information is listed, however, it is still subject to change. Pre-registration will not be open until we have a set date of when the convention will be. Since the hotel will not currently allow us to book any farther out than six months we do need to wait until then to finalize the listed information and open up certain things.
Le Gasp! A vendors page. I wonder what this could be about? Yes, it is true and as promised we are planning to indeed have a Dealers Arena in 2010. If you are a dealer and are interested please check it out. If you're interested in knowing who our confirmed dealers are you will be able to view this page for such information in the future!
Also you'll notice that there is a lovely Artists&Panels page. We want you're creativity to shine through! Panels can be anything from DDR to TCG Tournaments to Interest Discussions to Karaoke! Host your own panel and let the crowds come to you! For the first time we will also be opening an Artist Arena! If you draw, paint, make hats, ears tails, or anything else you want to sell check it out! you can hold your own little table of home made goodies to set up for people to purchase and enjoy!
Contests/Competitions have been fully revised accordingly and you can find out how to sign up under the appropriate link. We are also proud to announce that an AMV contest has officially been added to our convention! Check it out. We are taking submissions for all contests but art (which is on-site only) via e-mail. Find out more to the right.
Yes, there is a programing page. It is very empty right now. That is because we currently are working on how much we can do at once, how much space we have, and how we can further organizes the convention for your enjoyment. Programming will be available once the dates and times are confirmed in July/August of this year so please keep an eye out on that page to find out everything we'll have in stored for you!
There is as well a SoDak History page. On here you will be able to view information and pictures from SoDak 2009 and get a small blog about RCC, Inc.'s previous convention details.
